In her career in Washington, DC, Silicon Valley, and China/Asia, Sharon has built brands, products, and companies that touch consumers in innovative ways. She is known for hiring and training high-performing teams and creating cultures that inspire people to high levels of commitment and productivity. She delivers consistent results by innovating products, positioning, and partnerships, and by restructuring organizations and processes for maximum engagement and efficiency. Sharon works at both the organizational and individual level, considering strategy as well as leadership and management competencies.
In all of her leadership roles, Sharon has defined and communicated new strategies internally across organizations, from the board to the front lines, and externally to a broad network of stakeholders including regulators, government officials, industry partners, and the media. She leverages her knowledge of developing countries, skills at influencing stakeholders, and experience building and leading teams in fast-paced environments. With OPG, she translates her extensive corporate experience into helping organizations find optimal structures and strategies for inspiring employees and stakeholders to achieve their goals whole-heartedly, through consulting and coaching.
Sharon is certified by the Columbia Coaching Certification Program (CCCP) for executive coaches, one of the leading institutions developing the coaching field through academic research and codification of best practices. The CCCP approach is based on the science of human performance, grounded in psychology, neuroscience, organizational development, business management and leadership research. Sharon’s CCCP research project focused on coaching as a support for non-profit leaders and founders facing transition out of their organizations.
Sharon holds a Yale BA and a Stanford MBA. She is a fluent Mandarin Chinese speaker and has a working knowledge of French and Russian.

Sharon has worked with many organizations as a volunteer, board member, or founder, including The Juilliard School Drama Council, Yale University – President’s Council on International Activities, and The American Chamber of Commerce in China. She has a passion for artisanal cheese and founded the Beijing Cheese Society. She is also a theater buff who met a successful personal challenge to see every one of Shakespeare’s 38 plays performed live in 2016.
