Partners in Culture Change – New Haven, CT

Human Resources (HR) and Marketing & Communications (M&C) are an often unrecognized partnership for creating extraordinary work cultures. Join OPG at the New Haven Lawn Club to hear how two organizations have capitalized on this partnership to make their organizations “employers of choice.” Four of the top minds at ESPN, Northwell Health, and Disney will share their work and thoughts on the strategic impact of HR and M&C collaboration.  In addition to this interactive panel, participants will have opportunities to network and a delicious breakfast will be served.
Meet the Panelists: 
 Ramon Soto is Senior VP, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Northwell Health. He is responsible for the development and execution of Northwell’s brand strategy and all aspects of marketing and communications, including PR, digital engagement, strategic and clinical marketing, internal communications and customer acquisition. Northwell Health is New York’s largest healthcare provider with 4 million patient visits per year.
Chris Laplaca is Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications of ESPN, Inc. since June 2008. Mr. LaPlaca is responsible for the ESPN’s worldwide internal, public and media relations strategies, including oversight of consumer, corporate and employee communications for ESPN’s 50 business units. He also oversees the ESPN’s day-to-day working relationship with The Walt Disney its corporate communications and investor relations groups.
Joe Moscola is Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Northwell Health. He has oversight of initiatives to develop the health system’s workforce and enhance its productivity, drive change and accountability, and strengthen employee engagement. Previously, Mr. Moscola served as director of health system operations, where he helped plan and implement strategic programs across the organization.

Paul Richardson is The Walt Disney Company‘s Chief Diversity Officer. He also serves as ESPN’s Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Disney has launched multiple diversity initiatives during his tenure, including resource groups, an executive diversity council, an annual Women’s Leadership Conference and Heroes Work Here. Previously, Richardson was Executive VP of Global HR at Universal McCann and SVP of HR at Paramount Pictures.
