Free 1-Hour Mastering Group Facilitation Alumni Workshop: Energize Your Virtual Meetings

October 13, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

Any MGF alumni will tell you that a well-run group meeting, workshop, or retreat can be transformative. When we gather, we forge lasting connections, strategize new approaches, solve wicked problems, celebrate successes, and so much more.

While we are accustomed to designing and facilitating gatherings in person, the new reality of a global pandemic has many organizations operating virtually, which has radically altered how we meet. The online format has significant benefits – safety, efficiency, and accessibility, to name a few. It also presents plenty of new challenges for facilitators, from managing participant engagement to remote collaboration to the all too familiar screen fatigue.

OPG is proud to present a free new workshop for MGF Alumni who are ready to boost their master facilitation skills in the virtual world. In this 1-hour virtual meeting facilitation workshop, OPG will cover tips related to:

  • Designing virtual meetings that energize and prevent video conference fatigue
  • Modifying meeting norms for the virtual environment
  • Troubleshooting common virtual meeting challenges
  • Rethinking the power of common video conference features, such as breakout rooms, the chat, and the mute button

As an MGF alumni could expect, this workshop isn’t your average “sit-back-and-doze-off” webinar – be prepared for a highly interactive discussion with a small group of like-minded peers.
